Wow, that is a lot of money that you could be saving. In my case, I have no use of a home phone and since I have a cell phone, it saves me money to not have to pay for both. So it would depend on your situation on what could save you more. Thanks for the input clever dude.

I agree with all of your ideas, and would also like to switch to cell-only calling. However, in our case, a cell phone is not cheaper than a land-line.

We pay about $95 a month (with all fees, etc.) for 1000 shared minutes with Verizon Wireless, while we pay $19 a month for 500 minutes on our Vonage home line.

If we could do without a cell phone (not a prospect at this point in our lives I think), then we’d save $912 a year on phone costs.
