Here is a list that I go by when I go Christmas shopping, maybe you can use it to help you save a buck or two.

  1. Buy one gift per family instead of getting a gift for each person. You can cut cost if you just get a nice gift that everyone can use instead of getting something for each individual person.
  2. Always look for gifts online. Nowadays, you can find awesome deals everywhere online. Plus online shopping saves you gas and there are many places that offers free shipping.
  3. Start getting your gift as soon as possible. If you wait until the last minute to get your gifts for everyone, it’s every likely that you will end up spending more simply because your limited on time and will have no choice but to get whatever comes your way. You want to avoid this so that you won’t be running around the stores on Christmas eve and won’t be panic shopping.
  4. Save money on shipping. You don’t want to end up paying extra for shipping because your trying to get your gifts to its destination by Christmas eve. Order at least before December 15th to get best shipping rates and also awindow.jpg reasonable deliver time.
  5. Make a list of things you want. Making a list not only helps you know what you want but can save you money on gas and time.
  6. Be patient, learn to go window shopping. Most cases, you will find something you like and will buy on impulse, however you want to avoid this because chances are that you will come across something very similar and you might find a better deal.
  7. Use coupons and cut expenses.Look up your local newspaper and magazines and especially around the holidays, you’re bound to find some super good deals on coupons.

That about covers it for me, but if you are very tight on your money, you can just simply explain to people that the money is just not there this year and just give them Christmas cards. If they get indignant, then theres a problem. Their love shouldn’t depend on you buying them presents in the first place.
